Glenbrook Lagoon and the Coal Road

Park cars at the end of Station Street Glenbrook. Walk the access track to the Coal Road then follow the original alignment to approximately GR 784 611 to locate wheel grooves cut into the sandstone by heavily laden coal drays. Capture images. Return to vehicles and drive to Glenbrook road on the eastern side of Glenbrook Lagoon. Photograph earth works and then circumnavigate the lagoon looking for any residual evidence of cut trenches, bore holes or other engineering works.
If time and energy permit visit the mysterious bore hole at Knapsack Gully Bridge
First aid kit, 3 litres of water, electrolytes, maps, compass, appropriate head and footwear, GPS, waterproof camera and feeling really adventurous.
